Bar Harbor Maple Mustard Smoked Fish Pate`

Smoked fish, a hint of pure maple, and the gentle kick of mustard combines for a pleasing pate` for any palate!

Serves: 8 to 10

1 can (6.7 oz.) Bar Harbor brand Smoked Wild Kippers

1 can (6.7 oz.) Bar Harbor brand Skinless, Boneless Smoked Sardine Fillets in Maple Syrup

1/4 cup (or to taste)  Dijon style or Raye’s Down East Schooner Mustard

1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

2 teaspoons fresh lemon zest

2 scallions, trimmed, thinly sliced

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Toasted baguette slices or your favorite cracker


Combine Wild Kippers, Sardines, mustard and pickle relish in a food processor fitted with a steel blade.  Pulse several times to combine ingredients taking care not to puree mixture.  Remove mixture from food processor.  Stir in lemon zest, sliced scallions and parsley.  Add additional mustard and lemon zest to taste!  Serve on toasted baguette slices or with your favorite crisp cracker!

Serves 8-10 as appetizer
